The History of Our Animal Hospitals

The Connecticut Veterinary Center first opened its doors in November of 1958 as a single doctor practice. In the early days of Connecticut Veterinary Center, our founding veterinarian was doctor, staff, receptionist, and maintenance man, all in one. We are proud to have come such a long way! We are now established as a 5-location veterinary practice, staffed with general practitioners and specialty veterinarians, in addition to a highly-trained staff dedicated to meeting the needs of each patient and client. For the convenience of our clients, we are pleased to be able to offer the services of our 24-hour emergency service at our West Hartford animal hospital location, as well as satellite animal hospital offices in Kensington, Windsor, Glastonbury, and Hartford.
